When Pau Gasol enters the court of Air Canada Center in Toronto, he will tie Tony Parker with six All Star Game appearances and with just nine minutes of action he will become the second European in minutes played in NBA All Star Games.
The Spanish legend who made his first All Star appearance 10 years ago has played so far 102 minutes during All Star Games and French star Tony Parker has 110 minutes in six All Star Games.
However, what counts more for Gasol is that he will share the same court with his old friend Kobe Bryant in his last All Star Game: “We will try to enjoy the moments that we are together on the court, it will be a very exciting time. It should be a celebration of what has given the sport and all its achievements. So I wanted to be part of it”.
Only one European player has a bigger All Star history than Tony Parker and Pau Gasol. Dirk Nowitzki who is absent this year, has already 13 All Star Games under his belt and 222 minutes of action.
