Kobe Bryant was raised in Italy and he wished to see the Italian national team in the Olympic games basketball tournament in Rio.
During the All Star Game Weekend, representatives of the Italian federation met him in Toronto and he had the chance to take a photo with a jersey of the “Azzurri” which was posted in the twitter of the Italian basketball federation.
His message was the following: “I hope that the Italian national team will qualify for Rio! My heart will always be with you”. Italy is hosting one of the three pre-Olympic tournaments in Torino. Only the winner of each tournament will get one of the last three open spots in Rio.
