Zalgiris Kaunas will march into the second leg of the Top 16 strengthened, after acquiring American point guard Jerome Randle
As the player’s agent announced on Twitter, Randle will join the Lithuanian club for the remainder of the season, replacing, more or less, Mantas Kalnietis who had left for Armani Milano. He is arriving from Australia, where he played for the Adelaide 36ers.
Randle is what you would might call a “scoring point guard”, since making baskets is his primary business on court. However he doesn’t not ignore the rest of the duties of his position. During his previous season in Europe, he played with Turkish Eskisehir, averaging 15.6 points and 4.6 assists.
During the Eurobasket 2015, as a naturalized player of the national team of Ukraine, Randle scored 13.2 points and dished 4.4 assists per game.
