All victorious teams in this VTB round were way more superior than their opponents away from home, and not in a mood to bear any gifts to bestow their hosts.
CSKA Moscow (21-1) didn’t only solidify its place as first in the standings, but exhibited superb basketball finishing the game with 29 assists against Astana (6-14). A number which becomes even more impressive, considering the absence of Milos Teodosic.
With scoring from each and every space of court, Khimki Moscow (16-4) destroyed Zenit on the road. And don’t let the final difference fool you, because coach Kurtinaitis’ players could have won the game even easier. Now, with this win, they simply expanded the difference in the standings between them and Zenit, who remains fourth.
Right behind Zenit (11-4) is no other than Lokomotiv Kuban (14-5), that demonstrated its rich offensive versatility versus Krasny Oktyabr (8-12). The club from Krasnodar once again had vast game contribution by many players.
Last, but of course, not least, the Bisons’ (8-24) horns pierced through Vita’s (0-21) defenses way too easily and the Finnish team returned to victories.
