A crucial three-point shot by Nemanja Gordic, in the last minute of the game, let Cedevita beat Zadar 70-74 to earn the 2016 Croatian Cup.
For the winners, Fran Pilepic had 17 points, on 5 for 8 from the three-point range, whereas Ivan Mlinkovic scored 22 points for the losing squad.
The match was close in the first half, with Cedevita taking a four-point advantage (32-36) after 20 minutes in the game, although the first quarter had ended in a draw (17-17).
In the second half, Zadar managed to tie the game (45-45), however the visitors went on a 4-12 run to close the third quarter in front by eight (49-57).
In the fourth quarter, the hosts remained competitive until the end (67-69), but Gordic’s big three-pointer helped Cedevita secure its victory and claim the 4th Croatian Cup in their history and 3rd in a row.
