A 16-6 run in the fourth quarter helped Crvena Zvezda beat Anadolu Efes 91-82 in Belgrade. This was the fifth win for the Serbians (5-3), whereas the Turks suffered their fifth defeat (3-5).
For the winners, Quincy Miller scored 15 points, while Maik Zirbes added 14 and nine rebounds. On the other hand, Dario Saric did his best for the losing squad (19 points, eight boards), as three more players scored in double figures.
In the beginning, no team could take control of the match (6-6, 11-12), however Crvena Zvezda closed the first quarter in a 13-7 run and earned a five-point advantage (24-19).
Later, the visitors managed to tie the game (35-35) and went on a 3-11 run to end the first half in front by eight (38-46), playing very well on both ends of the floor.
The Serbians, though, fought back in the second half. Executing very well both offensively and defensively, the hosts went on a 16-7 run to regain the lead (54-53), however the Turks stood tall and had a two-point advantage (63-65), after 30 minutes in the game.
In the fourth quarter, Crvena Zvezda immediately tied the game (67-67) and went on a 11-4 to extend its lead to seven (78-71), with four minutes to go. Anadolu Efes tried to make a come-back, but the Serbians easily took a double-digit advantage (83-73, 85-74) and secured a crucial home win.
