All lights fell upon the big battle between CSKA Moscow (22-2) and Lokomotiv Kuban (16-5), this week in VTB League, where the team from Krasnodar grabbed a sound road victoryAfter 40 minutes of sublime basketball by both teams, Lokobasket was the one to celebrate one mighty victory against one powerful opponent.

CSKA started the game better, taking a nine-point lead near the end of the first quarter but Lokomotiv reacted, reducing the deficit and then getting ahead of the score in the mid of the second period. Both teams walked hand in hand for the rest of the match which clearly looked that will evolve into a thriller, of sorts. With 2 minutes to go, the guests started a sequence of big shots that judged the game’s outcome.

Anthony Randolph once again became the man of the hour for his team, scoring the 5 out of the 8 points that brought Loko in front, 82 – 88, 50 seconds. The efforts of Nando De Colo and Milos Teodosic (who were incredible with 30 and 26 points, respectively) didn’t bear fruits, since their opponents did their job from the free throw line.

In first match of the day, Khimki Moscow (16-6) suffered a defeat in the hands of Avtodor Saratov (11-8), that brings coach Kurtinaitis’ team even lower in the standings. Unics Kazan (19-2) destroyed Vita (0-23) and approaches CSKA from the second place, while Nizhny Novgorod (12-9) confirmed its top notch form, winning easily versus Kalev (6-15).
