A 21-11 run in the third quarter helped Trento prevail over Emporio Armani Milano for a second straight time (79-92) to qualify to Eurocup’s semi-finals.
For the winners, Dominique Sutton was tremendous, with 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, as five more players scored in double figures. On the other hand, Jamel McLean made an impressive double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds) for the losing squad.
In the first half, the match was close (19-24, 43-48), however the visitors took over in the second half. Executing very well on both ends of the floor, they outscored their opponents 11-21 in the third quarter and never looked back (54-69).
In the fourth quarter, the hosts tried to respond, but Trento easily retained their lead and qualified to the semi-finals, for the first time in their history.
