Atlanta dominated Boston at home (110-83) and regained the lead in the series (3-2).
Game 6 will take place on Thursday in Boston and the Celtics will try to even up the series and force a Game 7, whereas the Hawks will do their best to earn the victory and qualify to the semi-finals.
Thanks to a 28-8 run in the first half, Atlanta took control of the game and never looked back (47-37).
Although the Celtics cut the deficit to five points (53-48), the hosts responded and extended their lead to 26 points (82-56), behind a 29-8 run of their own, and claimed the victory.
For the winners, Mike Scott came off the bench to score 17 points, with Kent Bazemore and Jeff Teague having 17 points each and Kyle Korver adding 13 (on 3/6 from the three-point line).
On the other hand, Evan Turner had 15 points for the losing squad, as Isaiah Thomas scored only seven points.
