Achille Polonara had an impressive double double (18 p., 12 r.) and Reggio Emilia got an easy 83-69 in Game 1 of the Italian Legabasket semifinals against Avellino.
The hosts dominated the second and the third period with a partial score 45-26, got also 13 points in the paint by Darjus Lavrinovic and produced impressive basketball with 21 assists against just 11 turnovers. Joe Ranglad with 16 points was the top scorer of Avellino.
The guests couldn’t contain the front line of the hosts and also made a total of 18 turnovers.
