James Nunnally scored 20 points, the front line of Ivan Buva (21 p.) and Ricardo Cervi (15 p.) was a dream and as a result Avellino got the 89-75 win over Reggio Emilia, cutting their lead to 2-1 wins in the Legabasket’s semifinals.
The game was decided in the third quarter, which had a partial 25-15 score in favor of the hosts. Reggio Emilia couldn’t get back into the game despite a good first half. Stefano Gentile was the top scorer of the team with 12 points and the only player who tried to keep Reggio alive in the second half. However, he was alone.
Reggio was betrayed by its long range shooting, having just 8/27 threes, made more turnovers (18) than asists (15) and has to play much better in order to rebound in Game 4.
