After one of the most (if not the most) impressive seasons of his career, Giannis Bourousis was named MVP of the Year for 2015/2016 in Liga Endesa, surpassing Justin Hamilton (Valencia) and Gustavo Ayon (Real Madrid) in the related voting.
Putting on court some enormous performances, and finishing the season with 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for an average of 18.9 in the evaluation system, Bourousis led Laboral Kutxa to the fourth place of the standings in the regular season and was chosen to be the MVP of the year in Spain.
The Greek center becomes the sixth Baskonia player to receive this award, after Kenny Green, Andres Nocioni, Luis Scola, Tiago Splitter and Fernando San Emeterio.
