With Pietro Aradori scoring 16 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing 4 assists, Reggio Emilia beat Avellino 82 – 72, made the 3-2 in the series and is now one step far from the advancing to the finals for a second consecutive season.
The hosts played excellent defense in the third quarter, receiving only 12 points while scoring 18 and controlled the majority of the second half on their way to victory.
Meanwhile, Reggio Emilia shot horribly from the perimeter (6/24) and lacked its usual offensive mojo. Joe Ragland (23) and James Nunnaly (21) scored more than half of their teams’ points but were not enough.
