The first finalist of the Legabasket will be decided on Game 7. Avellino prevailed (83-74) in Game 6 and tied the series against Reggio Emilia.
Joe Rangland with 23 points and James Nunnally with 17 led the hosts in a close game that was decided at the start of the fourth quarter. Avellino build a double digits lead (64-54) with a 4-0 run and never looked back after that.
Lithuanian Rimantas Kaukenas with 22 points did the best he could for the guests, but it was not enough. It remains to be seen how things will end up as the series returns at Reggio Emilia’s gym and so far there’s no break in the games between the two opponents.
