The domination of defending champions Brose Baskets was once again obvious as the team of coach Trinchieri booked its tickets for the BEKO BBL finals in Germany.
Playing at “Freak City” the champs got the 95-65 win over Bayern Munich and completed a 3-0 sweep over the team which in theory was considered their biggest rival. However, you can’t say that after a game in which the first period ended with a 24-10 lead for the hosts and a 49-20 half time advantage.
And one more time, Brose Baskets did it the right way, with Daniel Theis leading the offense with just 12 points and in total nine players scoring at least 8 points. Add to this stellar defense and you get the point. Former Brose Baskets guard Anton Gavel with 13 points was the leading scorer of Bayern, but couldn’t change much.
