Dimitris Diamantidis, one of the most greatest figures in European basketball, played the last game of his career on Monday. Since the mighty “3D” inspired a whole generation of younger players with his game, his retirement couldn’t go unnoticed by one of the most talented rising European stars: Mario Hezonja.
The forward of the Orlando Magic said his own farewell to Diamantidis with a post in his personal Facebook profile. In perfect Greek, Hezonja wrote “THANK YOU LEGEND” under photographs of his idol.
