Cedevita have become the Croatian national champions for the third time in a row, by sweeping the final series against Cibona with 3-0 victories.
Even in the third game coach Veljko Mrsic and his players gave no chance to the opponent, as they have led by 10 points by half time and kept the lead until the very end.
Cibona managed to cut the deficit to seven points by the end of the game (84-77) and of course this was not enough. Ivan Siriscevic of Cibona was the top scorer with 22 points, while for the winning side William Henry Walker scored 20.
Cedevita had prevailed on Game 2 on the road (97-83) and started the series with an easy 87-76. Cibona, the traditional powerhouse of the country, couldn’t do much against the club which dominates Croatian basketball in recent years.
