Victor Claver confirmed the interest of Real Madrid by speaking to the Spanish radio station “Cadena Ser” but denied that there’s a deal yet, even if it’s rumored that there’s a three year contract waiting him.
As the Spanish forward said: “Real Madrid is interested on me , but for now, nothing is done. I am waiting. My priority is to be part of a Euroleague team. I have received calls from Euroleague teams, the options that I have are very good but I am waiting. I would like to be clear about my future as soon as possible but does not depend only on me. I have to wait”.
This waiting has also to do with the fact that Valencia has the rights of the player in Spain and has to have a deal with Real Madrid, in order for the “Whites” to sign the player. Last summer, Claver had a deal to play with Laboral Kutxa, but Valencia used the right of “tanteo” and matched the offer. As a result, Claver decided to sign with Lokomotiv Kuban.
The talks between all the interested sides are expected to be completed after the end of the Liga Endesa season. At this moment Real Madrid is still playing in the semifinals against Valencia.
