Germany will miss the Rio Olympics, however Dennis Schroder is ready to start the hunt for a place in the 2020 Olympic tournament.
The Atlanta Hawks point guard announced that he will play for the German national team in the upcoming Eurobasket 2017 qualifiers and he will be ready for the training camp on the 4th of August.
With Dirk Nowitzki retired, Schroder will be the new leader of the national team. After all he had proven in the recent Eurobasket 2015 that he is ready to take the mantle from Dirk.
Schroder has been a member of the German national under-18 and German national under-20 teams. On 27 July 2014, he made his debut for the senior Germany national basketball team in a game against Finland. And now, as he confirms in this video, he is ready for more.
