Panathinaikos‘ center Georgios Papagiannis traveled to the States and he is working out with NBA teams, trying to raise his draft stock and get selected in the first round.
Papagiannis, a member of the junior Greek national teams, played played at the Jordan Brand Classic International Game in 2013 and he committed to Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, in May 2013. He then attended school and played basketball at Westtown, during the 2013-14 academic school year and basketball season, as a high school junior.
He returned to Greece and in 2014 sign a multiyear with Panathinaikos which includes multiple buy out clauses. This season he had a very limited role with the Greens, specially in Euroleague. Still he is considered the next big Greek center.
Greek 7-2, 275 pound center Georgios Papagiannis is working out for Suns today & has workouts with the Celtics, Bulls and Pistons up next.
