According to Novosti.rs Nemanja Bjelica may miss the upcoming pre-Olympic tournament of Belgrade, in which host nation Serbia will have to fight for a spot to Rio Olympics.
Bjelica traveled on Tuesday to Minnesota and he is expected to stay for several days, or weeks in the States, a situation which may have as result his absence from the qualifying tournament (4-9. July). Bjelica was scheduled to meet with new coach Tom Thibodeau and new general manager Scott Layden, however this is not the real problem.
The Timberwolves are worried about the rehabilitation of his right leg injury and that’s why Bjelica prolonged his stay in Minessota. The clock is ticket and depanding on the medical exams and the progress of his rehabilitation, the Timberwolves will decide if he will be medically cleared in order to play with the national team.
