Partizan announced the addition of 26 years old Serbian power forward Stefan Bircevic, while the team is also ready to compete in Eurocup. Bircevic has played for the last two seasons at Estudiantes in Spanish Liga Endesa, averaging 5.8 ppg and 2.8 rpg last season.
The Serb player spoke about this move: “”Even as a kid when I switched sports from handball to basketball, I did it because I watched the games of Partizan in Euroleague and its fantastic fans cheering. The desire to find myself in that environment and that atmosphere was the reason to start playing in Basketball. I hope that this season we will have big ambitions”.
Meanwhile Partizan received a wildcard from Eurocup in order to be part of next season’s competition and sports director Dragan Todoric confirmed in Serbian media that the club will play in Eurocup.
