Canadian forward/center Khem Birch after finishing the season with Usak Sportif in Turkish BSL is the top target of Olympiacos for the center position alongside Patrick Young.
After a good first season in Europe, Birch has the chance to sign for one of the elite Euroleague teams and showcase his talent in the highest level of the top continent, like many others did with the Reds during the recent years. The latest example is Othello Hunter who is leaving for Real Madrid.
Birch averaged 10,4 ppg and 8,9 rpg during the season and Olympiacos tried to get him mid-season after the injury of Patrick Young. However, Usak didn’t let him go. Olympiacos, however, was waiting and now the Reds are making their move. Misko Raznatovic, who is representing the Canadian player, is already in Athens, because of the new contract of Vasilis Spanoulis, he met the owners of Olympiacos and one of the topics discussed is the desire of the Greeks to sign also Birtch.
