The Russian national team will compete in the qualification games for the Eurobasket 2017 this summer and coach Sergei Bazarevich will have lots of strong weapons available in order to implement his plans.
Some of them include NBA-er Timofey Mozgov, Euroleague star Alexey Shved as well as continental champions Andrey Vorontsevich and Vitaly Fridzon.
The following 11 players have already a sealed spot in the preliminary squad and will begin preparations on 18th of July:
Semen Antonov, Sergey Bykov, Vitaly Fridzon, Sergey Karasev, Dmitry Khvostov, Pavel Korobkov, Dmitry Kulagin, Timofey Mozgov, Aleksey Shved, Andrey Vorontsevich and Andrey Zubkov.
Meanwhile 22 other players will participate in a camp, with five, or six of them, joining the above list to complete the full roster of Russia.
The 22 players are: Anton Astapkovich, Evgeny Baburin, Nikita Balashov, Andrey Desyatnikov, Petr Gubanov, Aleksander Gudumac, Stanislav Ilnitsky, Vladimir Ivlev, Artem Klimenko, Maxim Kolyushkin, Artem Komolov, Mikhail Kulagin, Denis Levshin, Anton Pushkov, Ivan Rusetsky, Ivan Strebkov, Vladislav Trushkin, Artem Vikhrov, Aleksander Vinnik, Denis Zakharov, Vyacheslav Zaytsev and Nikita Zverev.
