CSKA Moscow has extended the contract of another key player from its roster, shooting guard Vitaly Fridzon, who inked a new, two-year deal with the Euroleague champions.

CSKA keeps an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2018-19 season. Fridzon (1.95 meters, 30 years old) averaged 6.4 points on 42.9% three-point shooting in 27 Euroleague games last season, his third with CSKA. He has helped CSKA win three consecutive VTB League titles, as well as to reach three straight Euroleague Final Fours, conquering his first continental crown a month ago.

Fridzon joined CSKA from cross-town rivals Khimki Moscow Region, where he played for nine seasons. He helped Khimki lift the 2011-12 Eurocup trophy, also winning the Russian Cup in 2008 and the VTB League in 2011. Fridzon is also a regular member of the Russian national team, which he helped win respective bronze medals at EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania and the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. He has amassed 1,035 points in 130 Euroleague career games, ranking 27th overall in three-point shooting percentage (172-of-407, 42.3%).
