The Turkish national team did not face any problems against Czech Republic, winning their friendly game in Trentino Basket Cup perhaps even easier than what the final 92 – 65 shows.
Coach Ergin Ataman used an open rotation, dividing the playing time equally among his players. Everyone jumped on court, and everyone contributed with Birkan Batuk scoring 12 points and Cedi Osman, Melih Mahmotoglu and Samet Geyik adding 10 points each.
Like in their match vs Italy, the Czechs struggled without star-players Jan Vesely and Tomas Satoransky. With 13 points and 5 rebounds, Patrik Auda stood out among his teammates.
With this win, Turkey won third place in the tournament. The Final will be played between Italy and the Czech Republic.
