Three European players are invited in the NBA Draft “Green Room” as ESPN reports and also one more is expected to be there according to his agent Misko Raznatovic. Croatian Dragan Bender, Turk Furkan Korkmaz, Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis and Austrian Jakob Poeltl are the players chosen by the NBA.
In total 17 players have been invited with the rest of them being: Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram, Jamal Murray, Kris Dunn, Marquese Chriss, Buddy Hield, Jaylen Brown, Dejounte Murray, Henry Ellenson,Skal Labissiere, Malachi Richardson, Deyonta Davis and Wade Baldwin.
By NBA standards, Bender and Korkmaz are considered “international” players, because both Sabonis and Poeltl have played in the NCAA. The players in the “Green Room” are those considered more than possible to be selected in the top picks of the first round and in the cases of Bender, Sabonis and Poeltl this is not a surprise, since they are all expected to be lottery picks.
