It’s now official: Ahmet Caki is going to be the head coach of Alba Berlin after signing a two-year deal with the German club, as Eurohoops previously reported.
Caki’s previous team, Anadolu Efes, had already announced his move to the “Albatrosses” with “thank you” message in the club’s website. Previously an assistant to Dusan Ivkovic, he assumed head coach responsibilities in Anadolu Efes after Duda was fired in April.
“I am very pleased to ALBA and Berlin”, were Caki’s first words after the official announcement by Alba. “I heard only the best about the organization and the city and after my successful years in Turkey there is a great opportunity to prove myself and internationally. Marco Baldi (club’s General Manager), Himar Ojeda Perez (Alba’s Sports Director) and I share the same basketball vision, I believe that we can achieve much together. We want every day to do everything that we have a good chemistry in the team and develop the team and each player on the season, so that we achieve the maximum at the end. ”
