Panathinaikos is honoring Dimitris Diamantidis with a preparation tournament that bears his name on the 16 and 17 of September with CSKA Moscow, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Real Madrid being invited.
So for CSKA Moscow and Maccabi Tel Aviv had confirmed their presence and Real Madrid is expected to do the same after the end of the Liga Endesa finals. During the tournament the jersey of Diamantidis will be retired and the Greek club has picked the other three teams because they are the clubs with the most Euroleague titles. Real Madrid has 9, CSKA Moscow has 7, while Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos has 6 each.
CSKA Moscow will also play in Greece against PAOK (9/9), Aris (11/9) and AEK (14/9) and then will hosts Panathinaikos, Maccabi Tel Aviv and one more team in Moscow for the Alexander Gomelsky Cup (23-24/9).
