Croatian Ante Zizic (no23, Boston), Turk Furkan Korkmaz (no26, Sixers) and Serb Rade Zagorac (no35, Celtics) are still undecided about their possible NBA future, while Frenchman Timothe Luwawu (no24, Sixers), Croatian Ivica Zubac (no32, Lakers) and German Paul Zipser (no48, Chicago) are NBA bound.
All six players are represented by the Beobasket agency and Luwawu, Zubac and Zipser have a manageable buy out, with the first two of them playing in Mega Leks, the club owned by agent Misko Raznatovic, while Zipser is a member of German powerhouse in the making, Bayern Munich.
On the contrary Zizic, who plays for Cibona, Korkmaz, who is a member of Anadolu Efes – the club of Dario Saric and one of the most wealthy Euroleague teams – and Zagorac, who is also a player of Mega Leks, may stay in Europe. It’s not only a matter of what the clubs that picked them want, but also the players themselves seem to prefer to work on their game without leaving the old continent.
One more European pick for the Celtics, Frenchman Guerschon Yabusele (no16) is also expected to be a draft-and-stash pick.
