Pablo Laso spoke to Radio Marca and shed some light on Real Madrid’s plans for the next season, as well as transfers.
When asked about Gustavo Ayon, the coach said: “Ayon had a difficult adjustment, but from December on he started gaining strength. People say that centers are not counted in my teams, but for me, Gustavo is the best center in Europe.” He also stated the following about Andrés Nocioni: “He has given us is something that can not be counted, something you can not measure. His character does not appear in the statistics.”
Laso appeared hopeful that the two will keep being part of the team in the following season. “We value their work and their quality and are working to make both stay.”
As for Victor Claver and his supposed signing. “In principle, no. He won’t be signed.” The negotiations were underway but have slowed since Valencia asked for 3 million euros buyout to free him.
