France’s friendly game against Japan was more than just a game. It was Tony Parker’s last show with “Les Bleus” in front of the French fans. Of course, the atmosphere was tense and very fitting as Parker said his farewell to the team.
The San Antonio Spurs superstar thanked the crowd and mentioned that he loves his country and he’s very proud of his and his teammates’ achievements and that they will try their best this summer, even without him.
After the game, Parker posted a message on his twitter account, too, in which he stated: “Thank you all for these wonderful years. I feel proud I was part of this journey and I was able to wear the French NT jersey. It was a moving night. Thank you. Next goal: Manila and Rio.”.
