As Maccabi Tel Aviv announced, Trevor Mbakwe is a free agent. The player was released by the Israeli club and he will continue his career elsewhere.
Mbakwe had an impressive 2014-15 season in Brose Baskets, but couldn’t do the same in Israel. Still, he is considered to be one of the best centers available in the European market and his release make things easier for him on the market.
The move was expected and Mbakwe has been already linked with Panathinaikos, as the Greens are expected to change many things in their front line. Panathinaikos tried to sign him also during last season, but the deal couldn’t be completed.
