Real Madrid seems intent on keeping the core of the roster that led the team to domestic and continental successes in the last two years. After reaching an three-year agreement with Gustavo Ayon, the Liga Endesa champions renewed the contract of Andres Nocioni for one more season.
As the player’s agent announced on Twitter, “Chapu” will remain a Madrid resident in 2016/2017, wearing the “Whites” jersey. Despite the fact that he will be 37 years old in November, coach Pablo Laso didn’t think twice about keeping him on the team or not. Not surprising, since the Argentinian veteran, has been one of the most valuable players of the Madridistas since his arrival in the team.
His crowning achievement with Real Madrid came in the 2015 Final Four, where he was named MVP after leading his team into winning its first Euroleague trophy after 20 years.
