Rade Zagorac signed a two-year extension with Mega Leks

It seems that the NBA and the Memphis Grizzlies will have to wait at least one more year for Rade Zagorac. As his agent, Misko Raznatovic, announced, the 20-year old Serbian player signed a two-year contract extension with Mega Leks. The new deal includes an NBA opt-out for the summer of 2017.

Despite the heavy rumors that were circulating about a finished deal between the player and Crvena Zvezda, Eurohoops had already informed you that the two sides were not even close to an agreement. A possible reason for this is quite obvious: Zagorac preferred to stay in Mega Leks where he can get some guaranteed playing time that will allow him to improve his game per his desires. Let’s not forget that apart from the ABA league, his team will also participate in the FIBA Champions League, the new pan-European competition.

Last year he was one of the most important players of the Serbian team in its run to the ABA League finals, averaging 13.1 points, 6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
