Olympiacos needs to make just a few moves on the market in order to complete its roster and the American guard who will be added in the roster seems to be the most important of the transactions left at the moment.
While many names are rumored to be on the Reds’ radar, according to Eurohoops sources former Siena scorer Erick Green is on top of their list. The 25 years old player had a stellar season in the NBADL after being cut by Denver – to make room for Kostas Papanikolaou who eventually returned to Piraeus – and Olympiacos is not the only European club that wants him for next season.
However, the Greeks know that his scoring ability can create a great backcourt combination with Vasilis Spanoulis and that’s why they are more than interested on his case. Still, Green’s priority is naturally the NBA, so the Reds must wait at least until the end of the summer leagues in order to know if they have a good chance on luring him back to Europe.
Green will play in Las Vegas with the team of the Blazers and he is hoping to land an NBA deal. Of course, there also other possibilities for Olympiacos, like Taylor Rochestie for example.
