Contrary to other recent signings of Euroleague players to the NBA, Willy Hernangomez’s intentions were clear for a long time. And now he is the newest member of the Knicks.
After Sergio Rodriguez’s deal with the Sixers and the denial for an offer by the same team to Rudy Fernandez, Willy Hernangomez becames the second player of Real Madrid to leave this summer for the NBA as Andrian Wojnarowski reports.
Hernangomez is the 35th pick of the 2015 NBA draft, while his brother, Juan Hernangomez is the 15th pick of the 2016 NBA draft. Willy Hernangomez was a teammate of Kristaps Porzingis in Sevilla.
Spanish forward Wily Hernangomez has reached agreement with the Knicks on a multi-year deal, league sources tell @TheVertical.
