As “Gazzetta dello Sport” reports today in its print edition, the replacement of Alessandro Gentile in Armani Milano is going to be Zoran Dragic. Khimki also released an announcement about the player’s departure, stating that “the agreement was cancelled by mutual consent”.
The Slovenian guard is leaving Khimki Moscow Region and is ready to sign a two-year deal with the Italian champions. Dragic signed last summer a two year contract with Khimki, however the Russian club has a crowded back court which includes Tyrese Rice, Petteri Koponen and Alexey Shved.
Dragic was the odd man out, Khimki will not compete in the Euroleague in the upcoming season and Dragic will have the chance to play a key role in the Italian club.
