After a long night, Fenerbahce announced that Jan Vesely stays with the team. The Czech forward/center heard what the NBA had to ffer and signed a new three year contract with the Turkish champs.
The deal includes NBA out clauses for every summer, but Vesely at least for the next season will stay in Istanbul, being one of the most well paid players in Euroleague.
As he said: “A great season has finished but nothing is over. Fenerbahce has big goals and it’s a really big club. I’m sharing those goals and I believe that I can improve myself both as player and character by staying in the club. So I’ve decided to stay at Fenerbahce. I’m thinking only about the next season. I’m proud that I’m a part of Fenerbahce family. Everybody has to know that we still have a lot to do”.
Of course the big challenge of Fenerbahce is winning the Euroleague title and with Vesely staying, the team of Zeljko Obradovic remains one of the top contenders.
