The Philadelphia 76ers are bringing Sergio Rodriguez back to the NBA world, and their GM, Bryan Colangelo admits that he is “excited about the prospect of him coming in.”
During the Summer League game between the 76ers and the Chicago Bulls, he was asked to comment on the new acquirement of his team and talk about what elements he will bring on the floor.
“We haven’t signed him yet, we are working through some details. He is at his national team’s practices while we are working on that”, clarified Colangelo before talking about Chacho’s characteristics. “He is a smart point guard, he’s really great in the pick n’ roll situation. And when you get these big guys with him like Jahil Okafor rolling down the lane with him. You put Joel Embiid in a situation with him, he’s going to be great and crafty with the ball. When you talk about some the experience and savvy that a professional like that brings in the table, I think it’s going to add some things to us in terms of point guard play.”
Sergio Rodriguez will soon travel to USA in order to sign the contract with his new team, thus miss the prep game of Spain vs Angola.
