While reports from the USA mention a $2.5 million deal for two years between the Malcolm Delaney and the Atlanta Hawks, the truth is… rather different. The two-year contract that the 27-year old combo guard has agreed to sign with his new team is for a total price of $5 million, according to Eurohoops sources.
Delaney arrives to Atlanta and the Hawks from Russian club Lokomotiv Kuban, with which he spent the best season of his career in Europe, averaging 16.3 points, 5.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game. He was also named to the All-Euroleague first team, while leading the team to the competition’s Final Four, a first-time achievement for the club.
