Darussafaka Dogus continues to add one interesting piece after another in what already appears to be a highly ambitious roster for the upcoming season. What was for about two weeks, has just become official right now, as the Turkish club officially announced the acquisition of Dairis Bertans with a two-year contract.
The international Latvian shooting guard arrives to Istanbul from Bilbao where he was one of the absolute protagonists of the team. During the previous season he averaged 15.5 points (shooting with 53% from the field) in Eurocup and 11.1 points per game in Liga Endesa.
Apart from being one seriously dangerous three-pointer shooter, Bertans is guard who is characterized for his highly energetic game on both ends of the court, something that makes him a formidable opponent in one vs one situations. With his new team he is also bound to make his debut in Euroleague.
