On Wednesday morning, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brother Thanasis, who spent most of the previous season in NBA D-League, presented themselves tο the Armor Branch Training Center in Avlona, north of Athens, Greece, in order to serve their obligatory military duty.
The two players spent the night in the barracks, like proper soldiers, among the other new army trainees. They are expected to give their official army oaths on August 5.
Since they are considered Greek citizens who are permanent overseas residents, they will serve a three-month military term.
