With Claver out of the picture, Panathinaikos decided to finalize Markoishvili’s deal. The player was on the team’s short list and now with an open spot on the roster, the Greens are pushing in order to get his signed.
After all the Greek club doesn’t have a real small forward in its roster and it’s also on the market for a point guard who will be able to complete their backcourt and probably one more big man will be added. Markoishvili fits the profile of players that coach Argiris Pedoulakis would like to have in its roster, he brings offensive firepower and also consistency on defense.
With this move it seems almost certain what was also been long suspected about Vladimir Jankovic who is not expected to have any future with the team.
