Gran Canaria officially announced that they have reached an agreement for Spanish guard Albert Oliver to renew his contract for one more year. This will be the fourth consecutive season for the 38-year old veteran in Las Palmas
Oliver averaged 5.4 points and 4.4 assists in Eurocup last year, helping the club reach the competition’s semifinals. In Liga Endesa he scored 8 points, dished 4 assists and grabbed 2 rebounds per game.
The Spanish club will compete in Eurocup in 2016/2017 a competition with which Oliver is quite acquainted with, having played 85 games in the tournament. He is ranked 9th in the list of the all-time assist leaders in Eurocup with 268.
