Laboral Kutxa is watching many basic contributors of its successful last season, setting sail for new destinations… and the ones that are remaining, for now, being heavily courted by other teams. So now the club wants to move on to the offensive by signing French combo guard Rodrigue Beaubois.
As El Correo reports, Baskonia is very close to the player who comes from a pretty solid year with Eurocup finalist Strasbourg. He averaged 11.8 points and 2.3 assists per game in Eurocup, plus 16.8 points and 2 assists in the French Pro A League.
Beaubois played in the Summer League with the Dallas Mavericks looking for a return to the NBA. While there were talks between him and the team he was crowned world champion with in 2011, it seems that there’s no sign of a possible deal on the horizon.
This opens the door that’s leading towards Laboral Kutxa, a team that offers him a chance to play in the new and highly competitive Euroleague as well in the demanding Liga Endesa championship.
