Demetris Nichols and Kenny Gabriel had been at the top of the list of potential power forwards for Olympiacos, with the club sending offers to both players. During the previous days, the Greek champions have been focusing their attention to Kenny Gabriel and, right now, they are quite close to a deal with him.
According to Eurohoops sources, the financial differences that initially kept the Olympiacos and the American power forward at a distance are no more, and with each passing moment the Reds are drawing closer and closer to the player. Actually, it’s only a matter of time until the two sides reach a an agreement.
Olympiacos’ proposal to Gabriel includes a two-year contract with an opt out option (club decision) for summer 2017. If the deal is finalized, then Oly’s roster for the upcoming season will be almost completed. Only one question mark remains regarding an extra, secondary role spot in the team’s frontline that will be most likely covered by a Greek player,.
