With Palencia denying the right to play in Liga Endesa, only one team can fill the void for the 18th team. The league invated Melilla and they are waiting the answer.
Like Gipuzkoa which decided to play in LEB Oro (the second division), Palencia due to financial reasons announced that they are not able to be part of the top Spanish league. With Estudiantes staying in the league and an announcement about 10,5 euros total revenues from televsion righs last season, it remains to be seen if Melilla will decide to be part of the league, or if we will have a Liga Endesa with 17 teams next year.
