The deal between Panathinaikos and K.C. Rivers has been finalized, the contracts have been signed and the American player is expected to be announced quite soon by the club.
Rivers will become the fourth transfer that the Greens complete this summer, after Chris Singleton, Mike James and Giannis Bourousis. He will most likely assume the duties of starting small forward in the squad of Panathinaikos, while he can also function as a shooting guard in “tall squad” lineups.
His killer instinct from the three-point line together with his ability to defend opposing players more than sufficiently when needed, were two main factors behind the club’s decision to pursue the 29-year old swingman and Euroleague champion in 2015 with Real Madrid.
