With Fotis Katsikaris being ready to be announced as the new coach of Lokomotiv Kuban, one of the team’s first big target is Kenny Gabriel.
The American forward is very close to a deal with Olympiacos, but the Russian club offered him a similar two year contract with a much bigger salary compared to the Greeks. This situation complicates things for the Reds and gives a great alternative to the player.
Olympiacos is expected to react, since the addition of a powerforward in the mold of Gabriel or Okaro White – who decided to take part in the training camp of the Miami Heat – is one of their main summer targets, but for the moment the best offer on the table comes from Lokomotiv. It remains to be seen what more Olympiacos can offer, a situation that seems to be financially tied with the possible loaning of Nikola Milutinov to an other team.
